How it works
A new way to connect
companies and professionals
POP checks identity, organises experience and has it confirmed by the people who worked with each professional. With that information, a person decides.
- Verified identity
- Confirmed experience
- Human decision
Two paths, one ecosystem
What each side does
The professional
- 1
Your experience
Their jobs, with company, dates and role.
- 2
Your job test (optional)
If their role has a test, they take it whenever they like.
- 3
One confirmation
Someone they worked with confirms their experience. Without at least one, they aren’t visible.
- 4
Your identity
ID document and liveness check.
- 5
Your preferences
Where they live and when they can start.
- 6
Make yourself visible
They switch it on whenever they like and show up in companies’ searches.
The company
- 1
Defines its search
Role, location, working hours, shift and salary.
- 2
Reviews verified profiles
Experience, references, test and preferences.
- 3
Decides
Interview, offer, hired or turned down.
- 4
Gets in touch
When it picks someone, it sees their full name and contact details.
- 5
Hires
Those who aren’t a fit today stay in the ecosystem for next time.
How trust is earned
Rules that enforce themselves
Identity
- National ID, passport or residence permit, with a liveness check.
- Explicit consent is asked for before verifying.
- Without a verified identity, nobody is visible to employers.
Experience
- Every job with its company and role.
- Dates that make sense: the end can’t be before the start.
- Confirmed experience can no longer be deleted, nor can its role, company or dates be changed.
References
- A manager’s reference counts more than a colleague’s, and a company email more than a personal one.
- Nobody can confirm themselves, and the same email can’t confirm the same experience twice.
- If something doesn’t add up (the same phone as the candidate, an answer in under 2 minutes, a throwaway email), a person reviews it before it counts.
Job test
- 15 questions per role; each attempt draws 8 at random, with shuffled answers.
- It’s marked on our server and passed with 6 out of 8, at basic, good or expert level.
- Employers only see passed tests.
Trust score
- It adds up identity, experience, references and, if the role has one, the test.
- References count the most.
- It updates itself with every change and is fully recalculated every night.
Who is visible
- With a verified identity and at least one confirmed job.
- With their city and availability filled in.
- And only once they’ve switched on “Make yourself visible”.
Why it works
Technology organises and verifies. People decide.
Interviewing, choosing and hiring are always decided by a person at the company.
- Fewer CVs
- Fewer emails
- Fewer spreadsheets
- More structured information
- More organisation
